As can be seen from the feedback above, the deepest essence of my service lies in connection. Connection to each other, to nature, to ourselves. I find it incredibly fascinating how, when stories come to life, stars light up in the listeners’ eyes.
I want to share a moment that truly moved me. One time, I had just shared a delightful detail about Finnish customs, how respect for nature is visible in the tender little gestures during everyday tasks. One member of the small group got excited and told me how in their own culture, they have a similar practice! So inspiring! Even though we are separated by half the world and only meet for a fleeting moment, we can still find a connection! We should always try to find the things that unite us, rather than focusing on our differences.
